Discover the legacy, vision, and journey of Bharti Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya — a premier teacher training institution.
Education is a changing process. Today, concern is being expressed all over the world regarding the demands of education. The new experiments of education have made intellectual development but at the same time have taken away the human from the human.
In this transition period, the land of knowledge — the holy area of Baba Garibnath in Bihar, the workplace of Khudiram Bose, the penance of Jubba Sahni, the work of poet Dinkar, and the great litterateur Janaki Vallabh Shastri in Muzaffarpur — became the inspiration for the establishment of this college. Under the direction of Vidya Bharti All India Institute of Education, the process of constructing a training college in Muzaffarpur Sadatpur started in 2008 for the production of qualified teachers full of patriotism by Lok Shiksha Samiti, Bihar.
With the efforts of Shri Amarnath Prasad (State Minister), Shri Arjun Kumar Shukla, Shri Umashankar Poddar, and Shri Jai Ram Singh (Lok Shiksha Samiti, Bihar), Bhoomi Pujan was performed by the then Sarkaryavah of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Honorable Dr. Mohan Rao Bhagwat ji. A strong foundation was laid on which the huge building has been built. It was inaugurated on 19th May 2011 in the presence of Honorable Brahm Dev Sharma (Margdarshak Vidya Bharati All India Institute of Education), Shri Janardan Singh Sigriwal (Honorable Labor Resource Minister Bihar), and Honorable Swant Ranjan Ji (Kshetra Pracharak Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh North-East Region). This college was named Bharti Teacher Training College, according to the name of the great scholar and mother Saraswati of Bihar.
After many hurdles and efforts, on 8th July 2014, the college received recognition from ERC-NCTE Bhubaneswar and affiliation with Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur. In the presence of State Minister Public Education Committee Bihar, Shri Diwakar Ghosh, the college was inaugurated as a B.Ed course, and 100 students started studying in B.Ed from 2014. Due to changes in the basic rules of ERC-NCTE in 2014, the study of 2 basic units (100) students was started in the two-year B.Ed course from 2015.
As well as D.El.Ed, efforts were started for recognition of the course. As a result, 200 students in 2016, 300 students in 2017, and 400 students are being taught in the college since 2018. Due to its regular classroom teaching and activities, it is considered among the best training colleges of Muzaffarpur. The college has developed rapidly since 2017 with the recognition of D.El.Ed course from ERC-NCTE Bhubaneswar and affiliation with Bihar School Examination Committee.

Many books on Education and Problems, Educational Technology, Hindi Teaching, Environmental Education, and more have been published.
Due to continuous academic activities, many state-level seminars, workshops, and training programs have been conducted. In 2017, a seminar was organized on the topic “Need for New Education Policy”, in which Shri Atul Bhai Kothari was present as the chief guest. In April 2018, a large-scale national seminar was organized on the theme “Value Valued Education”, with about 482 participants from all over India.
Taking energy from this college, many professors working as principals in other colleges are constantly trying to fulfill the goals and objectives of Vidya Bharati All India Educational Institute. The students who have studied from the college are contributing directly and indirectly in the development of their state and country, working as Acharyas and Principals in many prestigious schools. Many students have been rewarded at the national level as well.
The work of service and dedication to society is also done by the workers and students of this college from time to time — during the Nepal earthquake, student teachers donated money through the province; similarly, during the Kerala floods, they collected funds and donated. Educational tours were made to institutions like Shubham Divyang Vidyalaya Muzaffarpur, Sudha Dehri Muzaffarpur, and Hindustan Press Muzaffarpur. In future, there is a plan to start a 4-year teacher training course in this college.
